When working with me, we will implement smaller, more achievable goals to help you on your way towards personal betterment in body and mind. Small wins will build confidence and increase motivation while creating habits and routines that you will be able to sustain long term. Over time you will come to love the journey and process of running and training!
My Coaching Philosophy
Guidance
No two athletes are the same. What works for one may not work for another. Different abilities and different goals lead to varied training needs.
Through personal, flexible and achievable training plans, every athlete will be guided towards fulfilling their potential.
Motivation
Whether it's dark and cold outside, early in the morning, late at night, or you just do not feel like doing anything, there are many causes for lack of motivation to train.
Having a training plan to follow, a goal to aim for, and being part of a community will help increase motivation.
Success
Success can be measurable such as a finishing position or time in a race. But it can also be a feeling, like pride and happiness in accomplishing a goal.
There is no better feeling than success and achievement which is why I strive to help all athletes experience it!

Ideal option if you would like a personal coach to plan your training/racing.
What to expect:
Initial consultation to understand your running/training history, where you are currently at, where you want to be, and lifestyle influences/commitments.
Detailed 4-week training/racing plans will be sent out via email at the start of every month.
Monthly meetings to discuss the previous and upcoming month.
24/7 communication via WhatsApp for general updates and emergencies.
Race finder, planning and advice.
Additional help/advice such as cross training, strength & conditioning work, nutrition, recovery, and injury.

Ideal option if you would like input and feedback on your own training/racing plans or are seeking additional advice in terms of training, racing, injury, or anything else.
What to expect:
Initial consultation to understand your running/training history, where you are currently at, where you want to be, and lifestyle influences/commitments.
Meeting to discuss your questions/topics.
Follow-up meeting, if necessary, to discuss next steps.
Communication available by email, telephone, video-chat, or in-person when realistic/relevant.

Everyone can benefit from an online coach but it is dependent on your approach to it.
The individualised nature of working with an online coach considers one person: you. An online coach will hold you accountable to your training, help you create new positive habits, and customise the training to you.

The coaching is one-on-one meaning the experience can be pretty much whatever you want it to be with as much or as little coaching as best suits you.
At the bare minimum you can expect a personalised training plan tailored to your athletics goals, ability, lifestyle, and work and family commitments.
In an online coach, you have a resource to answer all your running- and training-related questions, guide and advise you professionally, and provide motivation. The coach sets the training but you determine your experience.

An online coach’s role is to guide you towards your athletic goals. They provide a training programme but unless you are in regular communication with them, they can only do so much. Ask questions, provide feedback, and be honest with your coach to ensure you are maximising the opportunity to reach your goals. Remember it is a team effort. Your coach is always there to assist you but needs transparency to help you succeed.

It depends what you are looking for. If you would like someone to take care of the details while you enjoy the rewards of running, then Option 1 would be best suited to you. However, if you are simply looking for guidance, advice, or a second opinion regarding something specific then Option 2 would be the one for you.

We will focus primarily on running but won’t neglect the importance of exercising the whole body and mind. No matter whether you are aiming to run a new personal best or simply want to improve your fitness, expect all the stress to be removed, allowing you to get on with your life and enjoy the benefits of running!
